Time Served Electricians
Electricians we employ must hold the relevant SJIB qualifications and demonstrate experience of rewiring homes. Fully qualified electricians applying to work with HomeRewire must have at least 5 years experience in rewiring homes.
Electricians Mates, Improvers and Labourers
We consider electricians mates, improvers and labours with specific experience in rewiring homes. We work with individuals who want to learn and help them progress their career to a top level.
Plasterers
On almost all of our rewiring projects we offer plaster re-statement services. We are actively seeking plasterers on both permanent and sub contractor basis. Applicants must have specific experience in following rewiring squads and be able to complete repairs in a quick manner while maintaining a high quality finish.
Apprenticeships
HomeRewire have developed and produced many great electricians over the years. We install a very high work ethic into all of our employees which becomes an invaluable personality trait. We occasionally consider applications for new SJIB apprenticeships, and offer trials to suitable candidates. There is also an Adult Apprenticeship scheme which allows older candidates to enter the trade
Sub Contractor Opportunities
HomeRewire are currently seeking sub contractors in the following areas;
Sub contractors should apply as a complete rewiring squad and be able to complete domestic rewires to the highest level within quick timescales. Rewiring sub contractors will have to undergo a strict vetting process and must be willing to showcase at least 3 rewiring projects. As a minimum you should be able to rewire a standard 3 bedroom house including plaster repairs in no more than 2 days.
Rewiring aside, we outsource many small works projects such as consumer unit upgrades and small domestic works to private homes. We are seeking small sub contractors who may be interested in a consistent flow of sub £1000 works. Individuals should have NICEIC or similar accreditation, demonstrate experience in dealing with clients, and have a positive attitude.
