Great electrical company , Jamie came out did a survey and work was started the following week , Grant ,Ryan & Mark did a fantastic job full house Rewired in 2 days , after looking at several rewiring companies I'm happy that I chose HomeRewire , keep up the good work guys .

We had a full rewire in our house and the guys on site deserve a 5 star review. They did an outstanding job and went the extra mile, doing things that weren't asked but certainly helped, improved things or did things that were simply nice touches. A couple of mistakes were made but nothing that couldn't be addressed. They came back a few days later to fix those and we're happy.
The reason why this is a 3 star review is because of their boss, communication from him was very lacking in all aspects, especially from the financial side of things. We asked for updated quotes to know how much the add-ons would cost but we never received them. This meant that when the work was completed we were hit with a bill that was almost 2k more than what we had anticipated and budgeted for, and we couldn't remove add-ons as the work was already done. This was frustrating and disappointing, as we were on a tight budget.
Also worth noting that we were told that we could get our own light fittings and they'd fit them rather than putting the standard pendant light. What they didn't mention was that there's a fee for that. Thinking about it, it makes sense as it takes longer, but I wish this was communicated ahead of time so that we could have planned for the costs or reconsidered whether we'd have our own fittings.
On top of that, they didn't tell us that our house didn't have an earth and that they couldn't issue a certificate nor warranty until this was all done. We'll be incurring further costs that we had not planned, and it's something that they would have seen in one of the 3 walkthrough/surveys that we did with them.

After we discovered we will need a full rewiring, Jamie swiftly came to assess the property and his team started working on the property shortly after. The team was professional and took care not to damage any of the ceiling decorations. Great experience overall.

Absolutely fantastic company! Would rate them 10 stars if I could. Such an easy rewire experience from first contact to day of completion. Boys were in and out in 2 and a half days.
The job proved harder than they anticipated but the team got cracking on with so much professionalism and still got it done at such a high standard.

Contacted Home rewire early morning and Jamie came to view within a few hours and had the cost for my full rewire to me within 24hrs…very very impressed with this company and team. Gary and Mark visited me the week before they started to have a walk round and discuss options very knowledgeable and experienced guys. The team led by Gary and Mark rewired my 1960s 5 bedroom house in just over 4 days that included the garage and 11 outside lights. I work with companies and trades a lot and Jamie and his team really stand out from the crowd…should also be noted that out of the 3 quotes I had home rewire were the most competitive and the after sales/ service has been fantastic. I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough I wish more companies were this easy to deal with.

Most rooms required movement of the existing sockets and switches as they were mounted on the woodwork, I was impressed they managed to carry out the work within the 3 days as the walls needed chased out etc being an older property. Grant gave a great video after the work was completed, explaining everything had been done. All in all a very professional experience.

Mark and Gary did a really terrific job rewiring my 1930s bungalow (which had frankly ancient wiring and a bunch of janky ceramic fuse boxes from the olden days). The whole project was done amazingly fast (two days) and to a very high standard. The guys were professional and to the point about how it would be done and what couldn’t be done which I really appreciated. If you are thinking about getting a rewire done I can fully recommend Homerewire Scotland- and my number one tip is to you is to do a good thorough job on the preparations so the guys can get your place done efficiently and hand it back to you on time!

The guys did an amazing job, even though we had some issues with a miscommunication with another business at the same time. The guys must have battered through the work and it was complete in two days.
The standard of work is way above my expectations, it’s neat, the plasterer even matched the existing plaster work that I had (artex, which I hate but can just paint over for now and you’d never know any work had been done). They even did a clean up at the end and mopped the floors!
I’m delighted with the work done and the work ethic of these guys. Snagging list was completed quickly after Jim came to do a walk round. Very respectful of the property and they didn’t even eat all the biscuits I left them!

We had large eyeball lights in the kitchen that were so old they are obsolete.The team managed to put up new lights and plaster the holes of the old ones which to be honest I wasn't expecting (see image attached) . The team cleaned up very well which I really appreciated. There is going to be dust and you will need to redecorate your full house but to be honest to have all the lights and sockets that I need more than makes up for the upheaval and hard work painting and papering. The price I paid was, similar to other, quotes but felt workmanship and communication throughout the process was 2nd to none. I am extremely happy and glad I used this company.
