Electrician Services - Fault Finding
On occasions where your electrics are faulty, you will require experienced electricians to carry out fault finding and give advice. Our NICEIC electricians can carry out a diagnosis and find the faults that may be causing your electrics to operate incorrectly. Our experienced electricians use equipment to trace electrical faults quickly and get the power back to your home. Once the engineer has carried out the inspection, they will provide a report detailing any faults and recommendations for remedial works. We offer a fixed hourly rate for all fault findings, which are detailed below.
Electrician Services - Electrical Health Check
If you have concerns over the safety of your electrics and lighting, we offer a free visual check which is done remotely. If you would prefer an electrician to come to your home and carry out a more thorough check, we can provide this at a fixed cost. Our qualified electrician will open up your fusebox and some of the switches and sockets throughout your home. A reliable electrician will carry out some basic tests and then put together a small report detailing the condition and age of your wiring. This will also include the likelihood of when it may need to be rewired and any recommended upgrades that can be done to improve the system.
Fuse Box Replacement
Our efficient team can also assist with a fuse board replacement, a great option for landlords. Generally, if your fuse box is older than 30 years, it’s time for an upgrade. This is especially important if you are renovating or adding improvements like electric heating, a home extension, or a loft conversion. All additional wiring and new circuits will require additional circuit breakers and electrical installations. When replacing your fuse box, we will ensure this is done with safety and tidiness in mind, with minimal disruption to your day.

We guarantee most of our jobs against faulty workmanship for 1 year and all installation works come with NICEIC approval. Depending on the condition of your current installation, we may be unable to offer any guarantee on any work if we feel the system is in poor condition. Wiring materials and parts supplied by HomeRewire will be covered by a manufacturer’s guarantee or warranty. This usually lasts for one year.

The reason why this is a 3 star review is because of their boss, communication from him was very lacking in all aspects, especially from the financial side of things. We asked for updated quotes to know how much the add-ons would cost but we never received them. This meant that when the work was completed we were hit with a bill that was almost 2k more than what we had anticipated and budgeted for, and we couldn't remove add-ons as the work was already done. This was frustrating and disappointing, as we were on a tight budget.
Also worth noting that we were told that we could get our own light fittings and they'd fit them rather than putting the standard pendant light. What they didn't mention was that there's a fee for that. Thinking about it, it makes sense as it takes longer, but I wish this was communicated ahead of time so that we could have planned for the costs or reconsidered whether we'd have our own fittings.
On top of that, they didn't tell us that our house didn't have an earth and that they couldn't issue a certificate nor warranty until this was all done. We'll be incurring further costs that we had not planned, and it's something that they would have seen in one of the 3 walkthrough/surveys that we did with them.
Overall good work from the team on site but communication was very poor from management.
Great communication from start to finish, reasonably priced, friendly and left the house tidy.
The full rip out and re wire was completed in less than 2days and to know that it is all completed to a certified standard gives such peace of mind. Can’t recommend Jamie and the team enough.
The guys on site were incredible. The work carried out was done to a high standard and they always made sure I was aware of what was happening. Even added a couple of extras in without having to ask for it.

The week leading up to the rewire, i had several message prompts, to get things ready for the morning of the rewire, again everything explained in the check list provided.
Had a walk round the house with Ryan on the morning, nothing was too much trouble, great experience for us !! All done ahead of time schedule, would definitely recommend these guys.

The guys did an amazing job, even though we had some issues with a miscommunication with another business at the same time. The guys must have battered through the work and it was complete in two days.
The standard of work is way above my expectations, it’s neat, the plasterer even matched the existing plaster work that I had (artex, which I hate but can just paint over for now and you’d never know any work had been done). They even did a clean up at the end and mopped the floors!
I’m delighted with the work done and the work ethic of these guys. Snagging list was completed quickly after Jim came to do a walk round. Very respectful of the property and they didn’t even eat all the biscuits I left them!
